Implementation of a Digital Transformation Model in Trang Dai Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province

(CTT - Dong Nai) - On the morning of January 18, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Son Hung, chaired a meeting on the pilot implementation of digitalization in Trang Dai ward, Bien Hoa City.

In April 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning the Bien Hoa City People's Committee to take over the results of the digitalization model implementation in Trang Dai ward for trial operation in reality on the local system. The objective is to apply it to local state management tasks such as construction order management, planning, design, urban beautification, etc. This will then allow for the testing and evaluation of the model's effectiveness to decide on the necessity of expanding the model to other localities and areas within Bien Hoa City.

After receiving the handover results from Portcoast Company (the unit supporting Dong Nai in implementing this model), the Bien Hoa City People's Committee assigned the city's Urban Management Department to coordinate with the Information Technology Center and the Department of Natural Resources – Environment to update land information data into the model and hand it over to the Trang Dai Ward People's Committee for implementation.

The Department of Construction and the Department of Information and Communications have sent many documents to the Bien Hoa City People's Committee regarding this issue. However, as of now, Bien Hoa City has not been able to specifically evaluate the tasks that have been completed, those that have not been completed, the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations in the process of implementation.

At the meeting, a representative from Trang Dai ward stated that the ward is determined and resolute in managing construction order in the area to avoid disrupting the planning and minimize the situation of illegal construction within the ward. However, the implementation of this model has not yet achieved the desired effectiveness.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung emphasized that the management, construction, and planning in Bien Hoa City, especially in Trang Dai ward, have issues, thus the province is very concerned and focused on management work in this field. Therefore, the provincial leadership assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to draft a document to be sent directly to the leadership of Bien Hoa City People's Committee responsible for this area. It was requested that the Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee lead a meeting inviting leaders from the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Construction, and representatives from Portcoast Company to unify the implementation of this model.

Assign the Department of Information and Communications to support and facilitate Bien Hoa in the implementation. At the same time, provide guidance and exchange with Bien Hoa City to have related proposals. Failure to implement will result in criticism and inspection of public services in 2024.
