CC1 AND PORTCOAST SIGN STRATEGIC MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN CONSTRUCTION

On September 16, 2025, at the 12th-floor Auditorium of the headquarters of Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1), the Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Memorandum of Understanding between CC1 and Portcoast Consultant Corporation took place. The event reaffirmed the pioneering role of both enterprises in applying advanced technologies, while aligning with the spirit of innovation outlined in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Within the framework of the program, on behalf of CC1, there was the presence of Mr. Lê Bảo Anh – General Director, along with the participation of the Company’s Department/Division managers. 

On behalf of Portcoast, the event was honored to welcome Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn – Standing Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director, and Mr. Trần Phúc Minh Quang – Deputy General Director cum Director of the AI Center. 

Accordingly, CC1 and Portcoast will cooperate in researching, developing, and applying advanced technology solutions, focusing on the field of project digitalization: Scan-to-BIM, BIM – GIS – AIM – Digital Twin, and Smart City. 

Through this cooperation, the two parties aim to enhance project management and implementation efficiency, optimize costs and resources, and create competitive advantages in infrastructure, civil, industrial, and energy projects, as well as in special projects requiring high technical expertise. This is the combination of CC1’s nearly 50 years of extensive construction experience in national key projects with Portcoast’s pioneering digitalization capabilities. 

In particular, CC1 and Portcoast are committed to working together to seek new opportunities, share information, and develop flexible coordination mechanisms, thereby contributing to expanding CC1’s competitiveness in large-scale infrastructure projects, in line with the company’s sustainable development orientation and digital transformation strategy. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn, General Director of Portcoast, shared: “The signing ceremony marks a long-term and solid cooperation between Portcoast and CC1. We see harmony in the aspiration to rise, the spirit of innovation, and the commitment to creating sustainable value for the community and the nation. With our capacity, Portcoast is committed to accompanying CC1 to create outstanding products that bring practical benefits to the country and the community.” 

Also within the framework of the program, Mr. Lê Bảo Anh, General Director of CC1 emphasized: “Currently, CC1 is simultaneously implementing nearly 70 projects across the country. The difference of CC1 lies in its ability to participate in diverse fields, from power plants, hospitals, airports, highways to urban areas and office towers. The cooperation between CC1 and Portcoast will help both sides develop together and make practical contributions to Vietnam’s construction industry in the era of digital transformation and international integration.”

The event is not only symbolic but also affirms CC1’s determination in the journey of comprehensive digital transformation: from construction to investment, from building material production to the application of digital technologies, all aiming towards building a modern, efficient, and sustainable enterprise model. 

The cooperation between CC1 and Portcoast is a harmonious combination of construction capacity and technological capability, creating distinct values, enhancing competitiveness, and positively contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s construction industry. This is also an important milestone in the journey of innovation and digital transformation of both parties. 

Breaking the stereotype that “construction is a slow industry in digital transformation”, CC1, as one of Vietnam’s leading contractors, has early invested in many modern technological solutions, alongside equipping advanced machinery and equipment. A typical example is the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in key projects, helping to optimize schedule management, strictly control costs, and ensure the highest quality of works. 

In addition to BIM, CC1 also leverages geotechnical software solutions such as Plaxis (Bentley) to provide accurate analyses, thereby developing safe and effective construction methods. The company also applies AI automation through Microsoft’s ecosystem in data processing, supporting departments to make faster and more accurate decisions. At the same time, project management with the ERP ODOO system helps CC1 proactively forecast risks, allocate resources reasonably, and improve overall management efficiency. 

From pioneering the application of modern technological solutions such as BIM, ERP ODOO, and AI in projects to the signing ceremony with Portcoast, all demonstrate CC1’s determination in promoting digital transformation, enhancing technical and management capacity, and improving project implementation efficiency.
