On May 22, Portcoast Consultant, one of the leading consulting firms in Vietnam specializing in Ports, Marine Structures, and Digital Transformation of Infrastructure, officially received the Conformity Certification according to BS ISO 19650-2:2018 from the British Standards Institute (BSI).

This is an important milestone that affirms Portcoast's capabilities and reputation on the international stage in the field of project information management using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
According to BSI, Portcoast is the first and only company to receive this certification at the present time.
This certification not only demonstrates Portcoast's commitment to applying international standards in project management and implementation but also reflects the company's continuous efforts in updating the latest technologies and advanced methods.

With this certification, Portcoast not only enhances its competitive ability but also expands its opportunities for collaboration and participation in larger, more complex construction projects around the world.
BS ISO 19650 is an international standard that provides a common framework for information management through the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for construction and infrastructure projects. This standard has been selected by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam as the basis for developing general guidelines for applying BIM (Decision No. 348/QĐ-BXD dated April 2, 2021) and detailed guidelines for applying BIM to civil and urban infrastructure projects (Decision No. 347/QĐ-BXD dated April 2, 2021).
The application of BIM is mandatory according to the roadmap stipulated in Decision No. 258/QĐ TTg dated March 17, 2023, by the Prime Minister. Accordingly, Phase 1: From 2023, BIM application is mandatory for level I and special-grade constructions of new construction investment projects using public investment capital.
Phase 2: From 2025, BIM application is mandatory for level II and higher constructions of new construction investment projects using public investment capital, non-public state capital, and investment under public-private partnership.
Receiving the Conformity Certification according to BS ISO 19650 from BSI not only enhances Portcoast's credibility in the international market but also affirms the quality and professionalism in all of Portcoast's activities. This means that Portcoast can ensure the provision of the best services and solutions for construction projects, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the construction industry in Vietnam and the region.
