GD&TD - On November 17, Water Resources University held an annual scientific conference.

Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu - Principal of Thuy Loi University said: "The university's strategic goal is to develop into a multidisciplinary, research-oriented, and environmentally friendly educational institution. Creative academics, advanced management models, high-quality human resource training linked to social needs, and prestigious in the international community.

In recent years, the school has advocated promoting scientific and technological activities with a team of 1,200 staff and lecturers; over 24,000 students, graduate students and graduate students and has achieved encouraging results.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the school has completed and accepted nearly 50 research projects at all levels with a total budget of nearly 50 billion VND and nearly 400 billion VND from technology transfer projects.

Currently, the school is implementing 8 state-level scientific research projects, 24 ministerial-level scientific research projects and 2 provincial-level research projects with a total budget of nearly 100 billion VND; Expected over 400 billion VND from revenue from technology transfer projects to serve production.

Lecturers, students, and graduate students of Water Resources University have published nearly 800 scientific publications, including over 200 articles published in prestigious international scientific journals; In particular, there are nearly 100 articles in group Q1.

Participating at the Conference, Master Nguyen Thi Lien - Department of Engineering and Environmental Management, Faculty of Chemistry and Environment, University of Water Resources: "This is an opportunity for us young lecturers to learn research experience." scientific research, encouraging lecturers to be passionate about research, as well as learn from experiences from their predecessors.

Besides, the Conference helps us gain new information and knowledge about new science in the field we research. In particular, there are presentations by domestic and foreign scientists about new knowledge that we have not had in-depth access to in that field. Through this, we can ask in-depth questions for them to share and answer our questions.

This conference also has additional sub-committees on different subjects. We will be able to directly exchange our research topics to receive comments from colleagues and foreign scientists so that we can I exchange academics".

This year's scientific conference received 209 articles. Through a closed, serious and professional review process, 180 quality articles in accordance with the Conference's criteria were approved and the report was divided into 16 subcommittees in different fields. fields such as: construction, water resources engineering, hydrology - hydraulics; Chemistry – Environment; Information technology, Electricity - Electronics, Mechanics, Social sciences, economics and management, English language...

Within the framework of the Conference, Thuy Thuy University signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of human resource training, scientific research, development and transfer of advanced technology in the fields of science and construction engineering. especially in the field of building information modeling.
