The Vietnam Association of Architects has announced the results of the 15th National Architecture Awards (2022 – 2023), with 5 Gold awards, 18 Silver awards, 34 Bronze awards, and 1 award for the most popular work chosen by the community.

Despite the short time between the call for submissions and the previous year's Awards, the 2022 – 2023 National Architecture Awards received a large number of entries, with 226 works submitted. This is the highest number of submissions in the history of the National Architecture Awards.

The jury of the 2022 – 2023 National Architecture Awards noted that this year's entries showed significant improvement in both quantity and quality, with diverse content and rich forms of expression, reflecting the development level of Vietnamese architecture in the current period.

Some types of buildings, such as apartment buildings and low-income housing, which were not widely represented in previous years, appeared this year with good quality. Public buildings also showed a blend of regional identity and the essence of global architecture.

From citizen-built projects to major government projects, many works demonstrated a global approach to creative thinking and progressive trends such as green architecture, sustainable ecological architecture, and climate change adaptation to meet the country's socio-economic development needs. This year's Awards showcased the creativity of young architects and healthy competition among architecture firms, both domestic and international.

The National Architecture Awards is a biennial event organized by the Vietnam Association of Architects, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The Awards aim to promote creativity, honor outstanding architectural authors and works nationwide, contribute to the development direction of Vietnamese architecture, and raise community awareness of architectural art.

The Awards are part of the official State Awards system, specializing in the field of Architecture, including categories such as urban and rural planning, building design, heritage conservation, architectural theory and criticism, and serve as a basis for the State to consider awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize in Literature and Art.
