By cc1.vn - 11/06/2025

On June 11, 2025, a delegation from Construction Corporation No.1 (CC1), led by Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors, visited the headquarters of Portcoast Consultant Corporation. Representing Portcoast was Mr. Tran Tan Phuc – Chairman of the Board, accompanied by senior engineering staff. During the session, the two sides held in-depth discussions on the practical application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in transport infrastructure construction. CC1 showed strong interest in the integration of 3D Laser Scanning, Scan-to-BIM, VR, AR, and MR technologies, particularly in combining terrain data, condition monitoring, and analysis within GIS platforms. Portcoast engineers shared their hands-on experience in applying digital solutions across surveying, design, and project management phases, including real-world demonstrations. CC1 highly appreciated Portcoast’s technological capabilities and expressed their intent to strengthen collaboration on major infrastructure projects in the near future.

The working session was attended by Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, Mr. Tran Tan Phuc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portcoast, along with teams of engineers from both enterprises.

Within the program framework, CC1 and Portcoast engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the application of GIS (Geographic Information System) in the field of transportation infrastructure construction; the comprehensive adoption of BIM along with integrated technologies such as 3D Laser Scan, Scan-to-BIM, VR, AR, MR... to establish a complete ecosystem for works such as: topographic survey, current condition documentation, timely and accurately identifying errors, conflicts or potential issues...

The CC1 engineering team raised many questions to better understand the operational principles and how to integrate topographic data, BIM, and monitoring systems into the GIS platform. The session was not only an opportunity for CC1 to access modern technology solutions but also a chance for the two leading companies to exchange experiences and lay the foundation for future cooperation agreements in applying digital technologies to construction and project management.

Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc highly appreciates this working session as an opportunity for both sides to exchange professional experiences

Over 46 years of establishment and development, CC1 has affirmed its pioneering position with three core areas: construction, investment, and production & trading of building materials. With superior construction capabilities, CC1 is always the trusted brand selected to participate in national key projects such as Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3, Long Thanh International Airport, North–South expressways, Metro Line No. 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien), Na Duong II Thermal Power Plant, Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant, Thu Thiem Bridge, Long Son Petrochemical Complex, and Package 4 – National Road 5 upgrade project in the Kingdom of Cambodia…

Meanwhile, in Vietnam, Portcoast is a leading consultancy unit in surveying and constructing digital models of current conditions using advanced technologies such as Laser Scan – Lidar – Photogrammetry on the GIS platform, implementing 2D/3D digital maps, applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) from the stages of surveying, planning, designing, construction supervision, integrating BIM models on the 3D GIS information system platform, and developing virtual reality applications (VR, XR, MR), digital twin models… Portcoast focuses on researching and applying digitalization technologies to infrastructure, not only in transportation but also in industrial, urban, and heritage preservation projects…

This working session reflects CC1’s proactive spirit and aspiration to lead in the process of technological innovation and digital transformation. Proactively exploring and promptly integrating BIM and GIS applications in transportation infrastructure construction promises to bring breakthroughs in project implementation efficiency in terms of progress, quality, and cost. This is an important foundation helping CC1 enhance its competitiveness, gradually expand its market share, and promote business growth in the context of integration.
