Soai Rap: a new chance of strong development

Early in the new year 2008, vessels up to 15,000DWT could travel through Soai Rap River, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) for the first time, opening a new chance of development for Hiep Phuoc Port Urban and HCMC seaports in specific, for the South and the whole country in general. Together with Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaports, seaports ranging along Soai Rap River from Tien Giang Province, Long An Province to HCMC and industrial zones involving in ports and sea will offer favorable conditions for developing the Southern Focal Economic Area towards the sea.
