Commencement of building Duyen Hai Sea Port Project

On April 21, 2013, at Dan Thanh commune, Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh, Vietnam Electricity held commencement of building Duyen Hai Sea Port Project ceremony.
The construction belongs to general planning of Duyen Hai Power Center. When it is done, it will provide 12 million tons of coal/year and 100.000 tons of oil/year for 3 thermal power plants of Duyen Hai Power Center and a widen plant. The total water surface area of the construction is 427 hectares with 2 coal ports for 30.000-ton ship and an oil port for 1000-ton ship. Northern dike is 3.9 Km long. Total invested capital for Duyen Hai Sea Port Project is about 200 million USD. China Communications Construction Company LTD is the contractor. It is expected to finish within 32 months.
Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong promised that Tra Vinh would coordinate with investor and related units to finish the construction on time.
