During December 26th and 27th 2018, Portcoast had organized an event for the new equipment and technology transfer of
surveying using laser scan 3D Faro Focus S350-A of FARO, Mr. Andy Heng, representative of FARO ASIA had spent two days for guidance,
and discussion with Portcoast‘s staffs, visitor and reporters;

focused on the enhancement and effectiveness of the surveying works by applying both laser scan 3D Faro Focus S350-A, and specific soft wares
DAY 1
Portcoast’s Chairman and General Director, Mr. Tran Tan Phuc made his speech for opening the workshop.
Mr. Andy Heng from FARO ASIA presented the features of laser scan 3D Faro Focus S350-A and SCENE 3D to processing the data which is captured at the workshop.
Portcoast’s staffs and visitors practiced with the laser scan 3D Faro Focus S350-A and SCENE 3D software.
The first exercise was done with good achievement.
The surprise happened in the afternoon when the new Faro S350-A device and its support components were delivered to Portcoast’s office.
The laser scan 3D Faro Focus S350-A and SCENE 3D software had delivered to Portcoast’s office at the end of day 1. Portcoast’s Standing Deputy Director Mr. Pham Anh Tuan received the equipment from Mr. Andy Heng – FARO ASIA.
All attendees was very excited and came up to touch the new device.
Until the end of class, the excitement is still attached to people mind and we all eager for tomorrow class.
DAY 2
On December 27th, the course was continued with creating the model of Portcoast office both outdoor and
indoor.
Portcoast engineers were formed two survey teams and practiced on the new machine Faro Focus
S350A.
In the mean time, the data measured yesterday was processed to create the 3D model.
The VR session using the newly created model is really entertained the crowd.
The attendees were excited to move in the virtual room like in the reality.

Finally, the two survey teams came back.
The data was transferred to the graphical computer and
successfully combined to create the model of
Portcoast office.
Even though, it is required more effort to make the model more beautiful, people are
satisfied with
the results and their productivity.
At the end of the day, we took the pictures together, sharing the souvenir, and looking forward to working
together in the near future.
